A: Open Mic means anyone over 18 years of age (preferrably 21) is open to grab the microphone and perform up to 5 minute act of origional material on stage. Top comedians frequent these workshops to polish their act.
Q: What is a Headliner?
A: A Headliner is a paid professional entertainer that delivers his or her 30-45 minute act. They close each show following the Open Mic and a 10 minute featured performer.

Q: How do I get a Feature or Headline gig?
A: Headliners must have at least one year of professional experience. Several regular performers at the open mic have been invited to make featured guest spots, hosting gigs, and eventually, headline. You may also email your press kit to Cameron@AboveGroundComedy.com for review. If you do not have one, please send bio, headshots, and reel.
